How EPlanit works

Where we are today. On-platform payments are being introduced. Until they are switched on, bookings made through EPlanit are settled directly between planner and supplier, no commission or planning fee is charged, and the record of what was agreed is kept here for both sides.

EPlanit is the online way to plan it: one place to find, message and book the people, the kit and the crew that make events happen, and one place for those businesses to get booked.

If you are planning an event

1. Tell us what you need, or go looking yourself. Post a short brief (the event, the date, the place, the budget, what you need) and suppliers who cover your area come to you. Or browse suppliers by category and see their real work, real prices and real reviews before you say a word.

2. Talk to them here. Every conversation happens on EPlanit, one for each supplier. That is how we keep a record of what was agreed and how we can help if something goes wrong.

3. Get a quote you can actually read. Suppliers send quotes inside the conversation: what is included, what is not, the price, the deposit. You accept it with one tap and pay the deposit, the supplier confirms within 72 hours, and you both get a reference and an email.

4. Or hand the whole thing to us. Choose "Let EPlanit plan it for me" when you post your brief. We source and shortlist suppliers, coordinate the quotes and come back with a plan. A planning fee of 10% of the booking value applies, shown before you pay anything. We plan and coordinate remotely, up to the point everything is booked. We do not attend on the day. If you want someone there on the day, tell us and we will quote for it separately.

What it costs you: nothing to post a brief, browse or message. On a self-served booking you pay the supplier's price and no more. On an EPlanit-led booking you also pay the 10% planning fee.

If you are a supplier

1. Build your profile in under ten minutes. Your business name, category, what you do, where you are and how far you travel, the smallest job you would take, how you price, your deposit policy, and a portfolio of your real work. Founding suppliers get verification free.

2. Get briefs that match you. When a planner posts a brief in your category and area, you see it and can respond with a quote. No cold enquiries, no chasing.

3. Quote, message and get booked in one conversation. Send a quote from inside the conversation. When the planner accepts, the booking is confirmed for both of you.

4. Pay only when you are paid. Listing is free. We charge a commission on completed bookings, 7% on a self-served booking and 15% on an EPlanit-led booking, and nothing else. Founding suppliers pay 0% for six months from the day we open to the public on 11 November 2026, not from the day they join. Free until 11 May 2027.

5. Work with other suppliers. Find suppliers who complement what you do, pass work you cannot take, or put together something bigger than one business can deliver. Passing work to another supplier costs you nothing. Commission is paid by the supplier who is booked and earns the money, at the usual 7%.

Trust, both ways

• Verified on a profile means we have checked identity, business details and the insurance and certificates appropriate to that category. It is a record of what we saw and when, and we recheck when documents expire. See Our role and responsibilities for exactly what that check includes.
• Reviews can only be left after a completed booking, so every star is earned.
• Activity on a profile shows when a supplier last used EPlanit, so you know who is actually here.
• On-platform means the record is protected. Bookings made through EPlanit are dealt with under our Refund and Cancellation Policy, and the whole conversation is kept as evidence of what was agreed. Bookings taken off-platform are not.
• Giving back. Once commission is charged, 1% of it goes into the EPlanit Community Fund, and we run grants for the people who make events happen, including the free EPlanit Founding Supplier Grant. See Giving back.
