Straight answers. Where something is not switched on yet, we say so.
One place to find, message and book the people who make events happen. Caterers, venues, photographers, florists, entertainers, equipment hire, crew. You search by what you need, where you are and when, you message the ones you like, and every conversation, quote and booking for that event stays in one place instead of being spread across ten inboxes and five WhatsApp chats.
Nothing, if you find and book suppliers yourself. You pay the supplier their price and that is all.
If you ask EPlanit to plan it for you, there is a planning fee of 10% of the supplier's price, added on top of what the supplier charges, never taken out of it. You see it as a separate line before you commit to anything.
If you find them yourself, you browse, you message, you decide. Free.
If you ask EPlanit to plan it, we take your brief, source and shortlist the right suppliers, gather the quotes and coordinate through to the booking. That is the 10% planning fee. It is for people who would rather hand over the searching and the chasing.
Yes. Plans are whole events, a Christmas party, a small wedding, a child's birthday, with every part named and every part pointing at a real business on EPlanit you can message today. Where a part has nobody yet, it says so, and it shows an example photograph so you can still see the shape of the event. You can start from a plan, or pick the parts yourself and build your own, and either way it turns into a brief in one tap.
Suppliers can send us their documents and a person reads them. Where we have checked, the profile carries a Verified mark. We check the business exists, that public liability insurance is in date where it is required, and any trade registration relevant to what they do.
Being honest about what that mark is not: it is a check on paperwork, not a promise about quality, and it is not a guarantee that somebody will turn up. Reviews on EPlanit can only be left after a real booking, so those are worth as much as the mark.
Suppliers show the smallest job they would take, and how they price their work, per event, per person, per hour, per day or per item. Many also list their services individually so you can ask for exactly the job you want. A quote is still a quote: the price depends on your date, your numbers and how far they are travelling. But you should never have to send five messages to find out somebody is well outside your budget.
Yes. When you post a brief or ask a supplier for a quote, you can attach up to six pictures of what you are after. The supplier sees them with your request. It is what already happens in this trade, somebody sends a photograph and asks "can you do this", and it saves everyone three messages.
Right now, directly with your supplier. Payments through EPlanit are not switched on yet, so no money passes through us. You agree the price in the conversation, the booking records what was agreed, and you settle it with the supplier the way you would have anyway.
When payments launch, it works like this: a deposit, 25% by default, due within 7 days of accepting the quote, and the balance due 30 days before the event. The supplier gets the deposit when they confirm, and the balance 24 hours after the event has happened.
We will tell you before this changes. Nothing about a booking you make today changes retrospectively.
There is one cancellation policy and it applies to everybody, so you always know where you stand:
| When you cancel | What is due |
|---|---|
| 60 days or more before | The deposit only |
| 30 to 59 days before | 50% of the booking |
| 14 to 29 days before | 75% of the booking |
| Under 14 days before | 100% of the booking |
You are never charged more than you have already paid. The full policy is in Refunds and Cancellations.
Open a problem report on the booking. Both sides are read by a person, usually within one working day, and the booking is paused and reviews frozen while it is looked at.
Being straight with you about today: because payments are not live, your money never passes through EPlanit, so we cannot refund what we never held. What we can do is read the whole conversation, which is on the record, help resolve it, and act on the supplier's account. This is the single strongest reason to keep the conversation on EPlanit rather than moving to text. When payments launch, deposit protection means we are holding the money and can actually put it back.
Because the record is the protection. If something goes wrong, "what was agreed" is a conversation somebody can read, not two people's memories. It is also how a dispute gets resolved, how the booking agreement gets written, and how you get one place to look six months later.
Your first completed booking earns £20 of EPlanit credit towards your next one, valid for six months. Every completed booking enters the draw: £250 every 90 days, which is £1,000 a year. Invite a friend and when they complete their first booking you get £15 of credit, up to five friends a year, and they get the £20 everybody gets.
Yes. An event board holds every supplier, quote, booking, task and note for one event, and you can invite whoever is helping. You choose whether they can see the budget.
Tell us. There are nineteen categories today and we open more as we recruit into them. We would rather know what you looked for and could not find than have you leave quietly.
